Hi Sandra! I opt for oil to keep the cake more moist, especially since the cake needs to be refrigerated. With that being said, butter will work here, but keep in mind that the cake may not be quite as moist. 🙂

Made this for my friend’s birthday and it was a HIT. I’ve never made cheesecake before so I was a bit nervous, but it turned out perfectly. I followed the recipe exactly but made mine in 9 inch pans. They baked fine and I just made sure to check on them a few minutes earlier than the bake time listed in the recipe. I also made mine with 60g chopped pecans and 60g raisins and topped it with chopped pecans as well. 10/10 recommend this recipe, it’s much easier than you think!

Hi Rach! I’m not sure on bake times. You would need probably about 2/3 of the recipe to fill 2 6″ pans so it may be easier to just make the recipe as is and make sure to not overfill the pans. You’ll want to keep an eye on them as they bake. Good luck!

Hi Sam. I live in the UK and we don’t have a brick style cream cheese but we do have the Philadelphia spreadable. This is what I use for cream cheese frosting. Don’t know if this will work with my cream cheese. Any recommendation? Or has anyone made the cheese cake using spreadable cream cheese?
