Hi Wendy! It will work, but my preference is to use a dry sherry. If all you have is cooking sherry, I would use it. 🙂

Your Cream of Crab soup is the real thing–delicious! I can hardly wait until you share your family’s non-creamy Crab soup. Here’s hoping it’s the tomato-ey broth-based crab and vegetable soup we loved so much when we lived in Baltimore 1987-1996.
